Every now and then life gets difficult, everyone of us have experienced that. But it doesn’t have to stay difficult. That’s where S.A.F.E.Centre comes in. Christies Beach Baptist Church (CBBC) have been helping people in our community for more than 50 years. Even if we can’t help, we will journey with you to find the people, places, and services that can.
Emergency Relief
The Emergency Relief (ER) program provides assistance to people in financial crisis. This could include, food parcels, PBS pharmacy medication, referrals to other Agencies, and limited help with bills. Many of our team of trained volunteers have been through financial crisis themselves so they know the importance of treating people in a non-judgemental way.
ER is open to everyone and our trained volunteers are available to listen to whatever the situation is and will always find someone who can best advise you.
Our laundry and shower facilities are now fully open and proving to be a welcome addition to the services provided to those going through tough times. Contact the office if you’d like to use.
How can I access help?
Currently we are open Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays, between 9.30 am- 11 am. (school terms only) Appointments are made on the day so if you need help through Emergency Relief you will need to phone between 9.00am – 9.30am to book an appointment.
