Emergency Relief

We all have an unsuspected reserve of strength inside that emerges when life puts us to the test.

Every now and then life gets difficult, everyone of us have experienced that. But it doesn’t have to stay difficult. That’s where S.A.F.E.Centre comes in.  Christie Beach Baptist (CBBC) have been helping people in our community for more than 50 years.  Even if we can’t help, we will journey with you to find the people, places, and services that can.

Emergency Relief
The Emergency Relief (ER) program provides assistance to people in financial crisis. This could include, food parcels, PBS pharmacy medication, referrals to other Agencies, and limited help with bills.  Many of our team of trained volunteers have been through financial crisis themselves so they know the importance of treating people in a non-judgemental way.

ER is open to everyone and our trained volunteers are available to listen to whatever the situation is and will always find someone who can best advise you.

Our laundry and shower facilities are now fully open and proving to be a welcome addition to the services provided to those going through tough times.  Contact the office if you’d like to use.
